The beautiful new website is more compact and easier to navigate. While our news and reviews will continue to keep you up with what’s happening in the world of children’s music, our own sounds will concentrate on the Wood ’n Crow Podcasts, interviews with and music from the best in the kidz music business. And our mission, in the words of our Head Loon John, is to entertain, educate, and change the demeanor of you who have a difficult time smiling. Tune in, turn on, watch and see!

John Wood
Head Loon
John Wood is a singer/songwriter, guitarist, and producer who created the Theater Arts Festival For Youth, TAFFY, a popular outdoor family festival that ran for 10 years in Agoura, CA. He is West Coast Producer of the nonprofit organization TAFFY Presents that brings entertainment to children in hospitals, schools and more. He has performed over 8,000 traveling theater and music shows from schools and theaters to the Hollywood Bowl with his group J.P. Nightingale. He has written, produced and performed numerous songs as well as character voices for East Coast jingles. Before co-creating Cinecal Entertainment, a script development company, Mr. Wood had been involved in the management side of post-production since his days at Editel LA in 1996. In addition, he is a national children’s music reviewer for his own site Kidzmusic.com and KidsFirst.org, and was the music judge for 14 years for NAPPA, a national children’s music award contest. John was born in England and is still a British citizen in case the Vietnam War breaks out again. He is owned by three cats named Shadow, Finnegan and Archie!
Dan Crow
Downriver Dan
Dan Crow, one of America’s most beloved family entertainers and recording artists, is the star of the Emmy award-winning “Just For Fun,” a seven time Gold Parents’ Choice winner, and a CableAce nominated songwriter for his work on the Disney Channel. He is seen regularly on Nickelodeon and The Learning Channel. Dan is a good buddy of Winnie the Pooh and Dumbo, for whom he has composed over a hundred songs, and he performed the title song for the family classic film, “The Adventures of Milo and Otis.” He was 2017 winner of The International Songwriting Competition for his song “You’re An Engineer.” As an educator, Dan Crow presents over 200 “Reading, Writing and Rhythm” school assemblies a year and is a recipient of the prestigious PASA (Professional Artists In Schools) life-time achievement award. His 5,000 plus concerts have taken him all over the United States and to Europe, Asia, Australia, Canada and home again. This tall, lanky bearded “kid” uses music and stories to bring a love and respect for nature, a sense of humor and a deep appreciation for the value of friendship and sharing to the world.
Steve Bedell
Imperial Wizard
Stephen Bedell started his business career with Grey Advertising, the Wes Farrell Organization and Casablanca Records, handling music publishing working with such artists as Donna Summer and Barry Manilow. Bedell was at Paramount Pictures as senior vice president of music, where he worked on over 100 notable films such as Footloose, Witness, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Star Trek III, IV & V, Top Gun, Coming to America, Naked Gun, Ghost, and many more.
He served many years on the Board of Governors of the LA Chapter of NARAS (The GRAMMYs) as well as being a former National Trustee to NARAS for five years. Steve is co-founder of Kidzmusic.
Lucinda Allshouse
Head Operator
Lucinda Allshouse was born in California, but spent five childhood years in Peru and the rest of them in New Mexico. After receiving BAs from UNM and NMSU in Anthropology and Photojournalism, she returned to California to pursue a Masters in Library and Information Science from UCLA. She specialized in medical research and worked many years as a contract librarian at hospitals in the Los Angeles area. The last 10 years of her librarian life were spent as Manager of the Medical Library at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier, CA.
Lucinda advises, produces, researches, corresponds, and writes checks to and for KidzMusic.
She and hubby Dan Crow currently live in Las Cruces, NM.
Bonnie Morgan
Interwebs Sorceress
Bonnie Morgan owns and operates an online publishing and marketing company, Design Like It Matters, Inc. She has been an avid technologist for over two decades and is a perpetual student in the power of technology for small businesses and community organizations. She believes that the internet is one of those gifts we frequently take for granted.
With more degrees than a thermometer, and after doing penance in large corporations, Bonnie chose to pursue this passion and now works with several businesses and startups, building strategic plans, managing social media, re-building websites and streamlining membership processes. She is excited to be a part of the KidzMusic team, as are her eight grandchildren, who thrive on music, art and drama.
